STOCAMPO

Week 4 Update:
The way i see it, those who interact more and know there way around seems to go further in the game. It is an open world so anybody can join. Honestly dont know who runs the second life, but im sure there is someone who thinks their a higher being in the game. I dont fit in the game as no one interacts as much, but dont really give to much thought on it.

Sculpture Center:
The museum was fun. I took a picture of one of the slides that its a target. I thought this was unique, reminded me a little bit like the terminator, which inspire me to make a similar one for my slide. Please see link bellow for my picture.

Week 2 Update:
I finally got to the gaming area of second life, although very confusing. SL is still very glitchy for me. Some people did speak to me, but just like "hi" and what and some of the convos made no sense. I wondered into some of the worlds. I think I went to an adult world but i didnt see any adult actions, as I heard there are 18+ locations, I am curious what that is all about. I guess i'll keep exploring to find anything cool, i just been wondering around and transporting.

Week 1 Update:
The game was ok. I felt like I was just wondering around, nobody really interacted with me, couldn't access the game area, overall I wouldn't see myself as an active player of SecondLife.

  1. Week 7 PodCast Notes:

What caught my attention is the conversation about social media. As a digital marketer, I highly agree with some of the points mentioned; advertisement becomes behaviorism using algorithms, Facebook doesn't have a clear goal for people such as for motivation and engagement form of addiction.

Also another thing that I highly agreed with especially with all the booming start ups in silicon valley presenting the next new thing or break through its taken lightly now in days as it can be taken as a marketing scheme.
